Wael Nasser

Dr. Wael Nasser has completed four American board certifications including Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, and Echocardiography, he is also setting up for neurocritical care board as well. Dr. Nasser has finished his training in Internal Medicine residency and Pulmonary/Critical Care fellowship from University of Tennessee Health Science Center and was named as a chief fellow, then he started as teaching faculty and clinical assistant professor at the University of Florida followed by a faculty position in Orlando Regional Medical Center, Dr. Nasser has been involved in medical training for medical students, residents, and fellows for over 10 years and served as the medical director of Valencia college respiratory care program in Orlando, FL. Dr. Wael Nasser joined the American Hospital of Dubai as a Pulmonary and Critical Care consultant, he takes care of a wide variety of pulmonary diseases including and not limited to: asthma, COPD, chronic bronchitis, bronchiectasis, interstitial lung diseases, sarcoidosis, cavitary lung diseases, cystic lung diseases, pulmonary hypertension, E-cigarettes and vaping induced lung injury EVALI and sleep medicine. He has a special interest in lung cancer, pleural effusions, COVID-19 pneumonia, rare lung diseases, and ultrasound/echocardiography. He performs the vast majority of pulmonary and critical care procedures including bronchoscopy with endobronchial ultrasound EBUS guided biopsies, chest tube, indwelling pleural catheter, and other diagnostic and therapeutic critical care and pulmonary procedures. Dr. Wael Nasser graduated from medical school in Damascus University with a grade of excellent and was ranked 7th out of 361 graduates, he was also ranked in the top 10 students in secondary school national exams among thousands of students.
