Mehran Karimi

Dr. Mehran Karimi is a Professor Emeritus of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology. He is an Iranian board-certified specialist in pediatric hematology-oncology with working experience in the field of hemophilia, rare bleeding disorders, hemoglobin disorders, benign pediatric hematology disorders, pediatric solid tumors, and leukemia/lymphoma for more than 28 years. He has also practiced in Dubai as a pediatric hematologist-oncologist since 2012. He had a 6-month fellowship in pediatric bone marrow transplantation in 1995-1996 in Leeds, UK, two separate 3-month hemostasis and thrombosis fellowships in Milan, Italy in 2001 & 2003, and one year as a research scientist at IHTC in Indianapolis, USA from 2016-2017. He authored more than 400 articles and more than 350 abstracts in peer-reviewed journals and has been invited as a speaker at many national and international conferences. He has been as a professor lecturing since 1998 and got Razi Festival Award as a best researcher in 2003 and 2008 and 15th Abu Reyhan Biruni Research Festival Award in 2014 in Iran.
