Dr. Lubaina Sharafally is an audiologist with more than 25 years of experience.  Prior to her experience at the American Hospital, Dubai, she worked at the Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary in Boston, USA.  She earned her master's degree at the University of Kansas Medical Center, KS(USA), and her doctorate from A.T.Still University, AZ (USA).  Dr. Sharafally is a DHA & American Certified and Licensed audiologist, holds a current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology, (CCC-A) with professional associations including American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).

Dr. Sharafally’s clinical interests include providing patient care to all populations, ranging from pediatric to elderly.  She is proficient in evaluating hearing in infants, young children, difficult to test individuals and adults using specialized testing procedures.   Dr. Sharafally exhibits expertise in evaluating and management of cochlear implantation and other rehabilitative services ie; Hearing aids, middle ear implants, and assistive listening devices. She is also responsible for the Universal newborn hearing screening program at the American Hospital Dubai.
