The Emergency Department, in the American Hospital Dubai, is a highly efficient and clinically excellent unit that provides around-the-clock care for emergencies. The ER unit is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and offers a multitude of services for those seeking emergency medical attention.

Our outstanding and hugely experienced on-duty, board-certified doctors determine a fast and accurate diagnosis for emergency patients and provide appropriate treatment. Our emergency physicians and staff strive to provide you with the highest quality medical care, doing so in an extremely expeditious and professional manner.

The on-site Laboratory, which processes test results rapidly, and our highly advanced equipment allows for a precise and swift diagnosis to be made, giving patients the benefit of almost immediate treatment. Working alongside the doctors are our highly skilled emergency trained nurses. They document the patient’s emergency issue and often administer IV drips, provide basic dressing to a wound, as well making sure a patient is comfortable.

The ER department provides medical attention for injuries, illnesses and surgical problems alike, including within the Pediatrics and Obstetrics field. Our compassionate, calm and highly skilled approach to treating patients in their emergencies make us one of the best emergency services in Dubai.

Visiting the ER Department

If you have an emergency and are able to get yourself to American Hospital Dubai’s ER department, you will be registered into the system and given a consultation with a triage nurse. At American Hospital Dubai, our extremely diligent and compassionate triage nurses will assess your injury or condition, ensuring that all symptoms are recorded to determine an accurate diagnosis. After the nurse has checked your vital signs, such as temperature and blood pressure, you will be admitted to the treatment area where you will be seen to by the on-call doctor.

The hospital’s innovative facilities allow our doctors to run several important tests. Through thorough examination of a patient’s symptoms and the test results, the doctor will begin the appropriate treatment. Depending on the status, a patient will either be discharged, hospitalized or referred to a specialist.

In the case of an emergency and you are unable to make it to the ER department, please call the U.A.E medical emergency contact number: 999

Obstetrics and Pediatrics Emergencies

Ensuring a patient’s comfort before, during and after they receive emergency treatment, is of the utmost importance to us. Our Obstetrics and Pediatric specialists are always within reach and we guarantee that, through their support, expert knowledge and care, you will always feel safe and tended to.

Our excellent doctors and nurses provide treatment for a wide range of mild to severe emergencies. Medical and surgical issues, including for Pediatrics and Obstetrics, are treated in American Hospital Dubai’s ER department. As a hospital, we are absolutely committed to restoring a patient’s health and well-being and we go to every length to ensure that we do so, with compassion, care, quality and precision.
