Alaa El-Ghobashy

Dr. Alaa El-Ghobashy, MD MRCOG, is a consultant subspecialist in Gynecological Oncology surgery. He completed his general Obstetrics and Gynecology training as well as the subspeciality training in Gynecological Oncology in Leeds, West Yorkshire, UK. He achieved the Medical Doctorate (MD) degree from the University of Liverpool in 2005. He worked as a consultant in the NHS England for more than 14 years. He has extensive experience pertinent to ovarian, uterine, cervical, and vulval cancer surgery. He is an expert Robotic Surgeon, not only in benign but also in malignant cases, having started it in the UK for more than a decade. Dr. El-Ghobashy has a track record in publications in peer-reviewed journals. He also authored many book chapters and edited two textbooks on Robotic surgery. He is a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, London, UK. He is the Associate Medical Lead for the English Lynch Syndrome Transformation Project, the Central and South Genomic Service Alliance.
