Dr. Jochen Bongardt did his basic medical training at the University of Bonn, Germany and at the Universitätsspital Zuerich, Switzerland. He completed his training in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care at the Medical Council Nordrhein, Germany in 2005.
Since 2008 he worked as a Consultant Cardiac and General Anesthetist at the Helios Hospital and Heart Center in Siegburg, Germany, a tertiary 500 bed teaching hospital. During his career he achieved substantial experience not only in anaesthetizing patients for all surgical specialties and ages but also in the intensive care medicine. Special interests are in high-risk anesthesia for cardiac and non- cardiac surgery, perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE ) and OR- management.
Dr. Bongardt is an Advanced Cardiac Life (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) provider and holds Subspecialty certificates in Pre- Hospital Emergency medicine (On the ground and helicopter service) and Flight medicine (Worldwide Retrieval Service).
Dr. Rajesh Pattanayak did his basic medical training from Utkal University, India in 1993 and M.D.(Anaesthesiology) in 1997. He completed his Fellowship from the Royal College of Anesthetists (FRCA, London) in 2005. He then acquired the Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in 2009. Prior to joining us, Dr. Pattanayak worked as a Consultant Anesthetist at Sussex Orthopaedic NHS Treatment Centre since January 2011. From September 2009 to September 2010, he worked as a Locum Consultant Anesthetist at William Harvey Hospital, Kent, UK. From September 2010 to November 2010, he worked as a Senior Consultant at Apollo Hospital, Bhubaneswar, India.
His sub specialty training was in Pediatric anesthesia. He has expertise in Ultra sound guided regional anesthesia technique. He is interested in clinical audit and enhanced recovery programme (ERP) in surgical specialties.
Dr. Pattanayak has publications of research article and case report in International journals.
He is Resuscitation Council U.K. certified provider of Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Acute Trauma Life Support (ATLS).
Dr. Ali Rasmi Ibrahim has joined the American Hospital Dubai medical staff as an Anaesthetist. He has been a Consultant Anaesthetist at Aintree University Hospital NHS Trust, Liverpool, UK since 2008.
Dr.Ibrahim, a British national, was educated and undertook his basic medical training in Baghdad, Iraq, Since then he did all his specialist training in anaesthesia and intensive care medicine in the United Kingdom and Australia, holding several senior positions since the year 2000. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetist (FRCA), London, UK since 2004 and he gained his Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), UK in 2008.
His career has spanned substantial clinical experience in anaesthetising patients for elective and emergency procedures for a variety of surgical specialties (General surgery, Bariatric, Major Head & Neck, Orthopaedics, Paediatric, Ophthalmic, Plastics and Burns, Urology and Obstetrics & Gynaecology).
He has special interest in difficult airway management, intensive care medicine, clinical risk management and teaching. He was a clinical risk lead clinician for anaesthesia and operating theatres at Aintree University Hospital and a member of faculty on several national courses like ALS, ADAM, CCrISP, ALERT and SAVES.
Dr.Ibrahim is a member of several professional societies, including the Royal College of Anaesthetists, British Medical Association, Medical Defence Union, Association of Anaesthetists of Great Britain and Ireland, and the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine.
Dr. Muhammad Zafar Khan did his basic medical training from the University of Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan in 1990. He completed his Fellowship in Anesthesia (FCARCSI) from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in May 2001 and later completed his Certificate of Specialist Training (CCT) in June 2013.
Dr. Khan further completed his Fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesia and Intensive Care in April 2013 from Children’s University Hospital, Dublin. He has special interest and very good experience in advanced pain management. Prior to that, Dr. Khan worked as a Consultant & Head of Department at SKMCH& RC, Lahore, Pakistan from 2005 – 2012. From 2002 – 2005, he worked as a Consultant at the Mercy University Hospital, Cork, Republic of Ireland.
Dr. Miland Thakur obtained his Fellowship from the College of Anesthetists of Ireland (FCAI) in 2005. He completed his CCT in 2008. In 1997, he did his Masters in Anesthesia from India. His basic medical training is from Seth G.S. Medical College, Mumbai, India (1992). Prior to joining us, Dr. Thakur worked, since September 2014, as Consultant Cardiothoracic Anesthetist at King Fahd Medical City, Riyadh, KSA. From October 2013 to August 2014, he worked as a locum Consultant Anesthetist at various hospitals in the UK.
A graduate of the Charing Cross & Westminster Medical School of the University of London, Dr. Ailie Elizabeth Pigott holds over 15 years of experience in the Anesthesiology field. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists (FRCA), London & gained her Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) UK in 2013.
Throughout her illustrious career, Dr. Pigott served at some of the United Kingdom’s most renowned hospitals, including King Edward VII Hospital in Midhurst, Northampton General Hospital,The Radcliffe Infirmary & John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford and the hospitals within the SouthWest Penisula Deanery, including the tertiary teaching hospital of Derriford Hospital. She most recently worked at Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow, Scotland’s largest pediatric teriatry teaching hospital.
During her career in Anesthesia, Dr. Pigott has worked on her development and knowledge to gain a extensive perspective and broad experience in all aspects of the field. Her most recent positions have consolidated, developed and expanded her skills within Pediatric Anesthesia.
She has also amassed clinical experience in all areas of surgery.
In line with her work in the medical field, Dr. Pigott regularly partakes in courses, lectures and seminars in order to stay up-to-date on clinical practices, medical breakthroughs and new developments in the Anesthesiology field.
