Dr Francis Conroy is an experienced and highly respected plastic surgeon. He graduated from Leeds School of Medicine, UK in 2000. He was awarded membership of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2004 and was awarded fellowship FRCS (Plast) in 2011 and obtained his CCT in Plastic, Reconstructive and Cosmetic surgery in 2012. He completed his BTEC in LASERS and light based treatments in 2016.
During his training Dr Conroy has worked at a number of Plastic Surgery units in the UK and Ireland. He was awarded the highly coveted Allergan Breast Fellowship in 2012 which took him to Vancouver, Canada, specializing in breast reconstruction and cosmetic breast surgery. He has presented his research at both national and international conferences and has over 20 peer-reviewed publications.
Prior to joining American Hospital Dubai he was consultant plastic surgeon and associate director of surgery at Bedford Hospital, UK.
Dr Conroy’s interests include breast reconstruction, skin cancer surgery, hand surgery and often works with other surgical specialties to assist them with many types of reconstruction.
Dr Conroy is also an experienced cosmetic surgeon and he routinely performs all aspects of cosmetic breast surgery (breast augmentation, reduction, lifting), cosmetic facial surgery (facelifts, eyelid surgery, ear correction), body contouring (abdominoplasty, liposuction, thigh lift, arm lift, genital surgery). He also offers non-surgical cosmetic treatments including botulinum toxin and fillers and LASERS.
Dr Conroy prides himself on delivering high quality, patient centred, safe surgery. He believes in a ‘no-pressure’ consultation, allowing patients to make an informed decision about their surgery without the ‘hard-sell’.
Dr Conroy is a member of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) and the Irish Association of Plastic Surgeons (IAPS).
