Dr. Khaldoun Taha is American Board Certified in Internal Medicine & Cardiovascular Diseases. Member of the American College of Physicians. Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC). Over 12 years experience with special interests include coronary artery disease and congestive heart failure.
Dr. Omar Kamel Hallak, M.D. is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist who specializes in a wide range of cardio-vascular problems. He is American Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology, Cardiovascular Disease, Vascular Medicine, Endovascular Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology and Internal Medicine.
Dr. Hallak amassed extensive experience in cardiac and peripheral/vascular intervention during his time in the United States, where he performed thousands of interventional procedures including complex, high-risk cases, including coronary and structural heart disease in addition to full vascular interventions: carotid, aortic, celiac, renal, and lower extremity interventions.
After completing his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Illinois, Chicago, he went onto gain his fellowship in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology at Louisiana State University, U.S.A, where he was to become Assistant Professor. Prior to joining the American Hospital Dubai, he was the Head of Cardiology Department at Saint Francis Hospital in Charleston.
Dr. Hallak presently leads the Interventional Cardiology Team offering non-invasive and invasive cardiology procedures including angiograms, angioplasty, peripheral vascular interventions.
He strongly believes in the importance of preventive medicine and the necessity of education in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. His past experiences have proven that regular checkups allow early detections, decreasing the chance that a problem can become potentially life threatening.
Dr. Mohamed Salem is a Consultant in Interventional Cardiology. He completed his US Board Certification of Internal Medicine in 1999, Cardiovascular Disease in 2002, Interventional Cardiology in 2003 and Endovascular Medicine in 2008. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and Member of the Society of vascular medicine.
Prior to joining us, Dr. Salem was in clinical practice for 10 years in Pennsylvania, USA. He worked as an Associate in Cardiology and Endovascular Medicine at Guthrie Clinic. He has also worked as an Associate Director of Cardiac Catheterization Lab at St. Luke’s University Hospital & Network, both institutions are ranked by Thomson-Reuters among the Top 50 hospitals for cardiac and vascular care in the USA .
In addition to general cardiology, Dr Salem has strong experience with radial artery approach for cardiac catheterization, complex cardiac and peripheral vascular interventions, critical limb ischemia, cardiac pacemakers and venous disease.
Dr. Nikolaos, M.D. is a highly experienced Vascular and Endovascular Consultant Surgeon. Over the last 27 years he has worked in a variety of surgical positions and in the last 17 years he has specialized, working exclusively in arterial and venous disease.
He completed his basic medical degree from Cologne University and his doctoral degree from Bonn University, Germany. His training in General Surgery was in Dusseldorf, Germany and as Vascular Surgeon at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. He holds National Board Certifications in General and Vascular Surgery from Germany, Denmark, Norway and Sweden and was Assistant Professor in Denmark.

Mustapha Shaaraoui, MD, is a cardiologist in the American Hospital Dubai, specialized in Cardiac Electrophysiology. He is american board certified in internal medicine, cardiology, cardiac electrophysiology and echocardiography. He has special interest in ablation of atrial fibrillation, ventricular arrhythmias and supraventricular tachycardias. He is experienced with different aspect of device management, including pacemakers, loop recorders, defibrillators and biventricular devices.
Dr. Shaaraoui received a Bachelor’s degree in Biology with distinction from the American University of Beirut, where he also completed his medical degree with distinction. He was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr Shaaraoui completed his residency training at Cleveland Clinic, where he spent 5 years in the cardiology section. He finished his fellowship in cardiology from Lehigh Valley Hospital in Pennsylvania. He then completed his cardiac electrophysiology training at Yale New Haven Hospital, where he served as chief fellow in electrophysiology in 2013.
