Sinan Al-Rubaye

Dr. Sinan Al-Rubaye is a UK trained consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist. He was qualified from Baghdad University in 2006 and awarded bachelor's degree in medicine and Surgery (M.B.Ch.B). He Subsequently started medical training career in the United Kingdom which took place in multiple English and Welsh hospitals. He has gained Membership of the Royal College of Physicians London in 2012. Then subsequently started specialty training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology in Mersey Deanery-Liverpool, this included integrated fellowship in advanced and interventional endoscopy in Mersey School of Endoscopy and second fellowship in advanced parenchymal hepatology in one of the world’s largest liver transplant centers (Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham). Towards the end of his training, Dr. Sinan have completed the European Specialty Examination of Gastroenterology and Hepatology-ESEGH. He was awarded CCT (Certificate of completion of training) from the Royal College of Physician-London and the General Medical council in Gastroenterology with sub-specialty accreditation in hepatology. He has further pursued third senior fellowship in advanced and interventional pancreato-biliary endoscopy in Manchester Royal Infirmary, one of the largest pancreato-biliary centers in Europe. At the beginning of his consultant career, Dr. Sinan had worked in London Hospitals (Kings College Hospital-Denmark Hill and Queen Elizabeth Hospital –Romford) before he joined East Lancashire Hospitals Trust substantively. He was the Clinical lead for the Endoscopy Department in East Lancashire Hospitals trust that delivered more than 22,000 endoscopy procedures per year. During his career journey he have developed extensive experience in managing complex liver disease and pancreato-biliary pathologies further to general gastroenterology which includes treatment of inflammatory bowel disease (Ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease), Acid reflux and irritable bowel syndrome. Dr. Sinan perform various diagnostic and complex endoscopic procedures including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP, EUS & FNA, Esophageal, pyloric and colonic stricture dilatation, oesophageal varices band ligation, feeding tube placement and enteral stent insertion.
