Dr. Bukhari is a Consultant Gastroenterologist obtained her bachelor's degree in Medicine and Surgery in Jeddah Saudi Arabia. She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC) and the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). She obtained her certification as a specialist in gastroenterology from The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada –(FRCPC) Gastroenterology. She obtained her certification as a specialist in gastroenterology from the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom (MRCPUK), and She obtained her certification as a specialist in gastroenterology from the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). She has completed three Fellowships in Gastroenterology. At McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario. She completed two years of Fellowships in Motility and Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS). She completed a two-year Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy Program at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. She is specializing in therapeutic endoscopy, including ERCP, balloon-assisted enteroscopy, endoscopic mucosal resections, and interventional EUS, including the use of EUS to facilitate ERCP. She also has clinical interests in the endoscopic diagnosis and management of gastrointestinal malignancies, premalignant and malignant lesions in the gastrointestinal tract (e.g., early gastric cancer), esophageal cancer, colon polyps, and pancreatic and biliary disease. She has a special interest in endoscopic management of obesity including endoscopic balloon placement and endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty. She is a member of several professional organizations.
