Goran Nadir Salih

Dr. Salih is Danish board certified in Pulmonology and Internal Medicine at Copenhagen University Hospitals, Denmark. He brings over 15 years of experience from different high-specialized secondary and tertiary hospitals in Denmark. Dr. Salih received his basic medical degree from The Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Copenhagen, Denmark (2006) He followed his trainings and fellowship program of Pulmonary and Internal Medicine at high-specialized tertiary units in the Region Capital, Copenhagen. He has extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of multiple chronic and acute respiratory diseases including asthma, severe asthma, respiratory allergic diseases, interstitial lung diseases, occupational respiratory diseases, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, sarcoidosis, tuberculosis and sleep medicine. He has extensive experience in screening for lung cancer with CT and the diagnosis and staging of lung cancer including coordinator for tumor board multidisciplinary conferences. He has extensive experience in invasive pulmonary procedures for example bronchoscopy (including cryobiopsy and Electro Navigational Bronchoscopy), endoscopic ultrasound via the trachea (EBUS) and via the esophagus (both EUS and EUS-B), percutaneous lung biopsy (both ultrasound- and fluoroscopy guided) and local anesthesia thoracoscopy. Dr. Salih has taught Bronchoscopy and EBUS in the clinical setting and been a local coordinator in the European Respiratory Society´s training program for EBUS. Dr. Salih has been a first author and coauthor of scientific publications about lung fibrosis, endoscopic ultrasound, EBUS, bronchoscopy. He has been speaker both on International and national respiratory conferences. Has been the organizer of several national and international respiratory symposia in Denmark. Dr. Salih has for many years been the Director for National Training Program for Respiratory Medicine in Denmark He had been Head of Department of Pulmonary Medicine, at Odense University Hospital, Denmark, 2. nd largest tertiary pulmonary Unit in Denmark and center for European Respiratory Society lung ultrasound courses.
