Athanasia Prentza

Athanasia Prentza is a qualified physical therapist by the University of Sterea Ellada, Faculty of Health and Caring Professions, Dept. of Physiotherapy, Greece. She is a professional full member of the Panhellenic Physical Therapy Association, member of the World Confederation of Physical Therapy, member of the Italian Physiotherapy Association, member of the American Hippotherapy Association and the Canadian Council of Adaptive Riding. She has been in the field of Physical Therapy since 2002, worked in private practices, sports fields and home care in Greece, Italy, USA and Canada. Athanasia is an AHCB certified therapist (USA) and a certified adaptive riding instructor. She has been a lecturer at the Master's Degree program "Advanced Physiotherapy" at the University of Sterea Ellada since 2015. She has published online articles regarding general health, the contribution of physiotherapy in rehabilitation, the silent disease of osteoporosis, cystic fibrosis, muscular dystrophy and cerebral palsy. She has been an active trainer of physiotherapy assistants in Greece and Italy, a professional speaker in various workshops for CSR, and participated in several projects abroad regarding people with disabilities. She has attended numerous courses and seminars as part of her continuous professional development. Athanasia has a genuine interest in health and well-being of her patients, seeks new techniques and technologies and focuses on a holistic approach of treatment, always collaborating with a multi- and inter- disciplinary team. Before she joined American Hospital Dubai in August 2020, she had worked in private medical centers in Dubai for children and adults since 2017.
