The American Hospital Dubai Medical Laboratory has been accredited by the
College of American Pathologists (CAP) in the summer of 2001. The hospital was
re-accredited again in years 2003 and 2005. In addition to the hospital
being the first hospital to receive JCIA accreditation, the hospital is able to
announce that it is the first private laboratory in the Middle East to receive
this accreditation by the College of American Pathologists (CAP).
In June of 2001
inspectors, pathologists and other Laboratory personnel examined the records
and quality control of the laboratory for the preceding two years, as well as
the education and qualification of staff, the adequacy of the facilities, the
equipment, laboratory safety, and management to evaluate the service provision
to patients.
