C- Section Normal Delivery Package (Community Physicians)

The following are covered under the Package:

1. Pre-operative Anesthesia Consultation
2. Anesthesia
3. Pharmacy for Anesthesia
4. Operating Room charges
5. CBC - ( 2 tests )
6. Type and Hold
7. Post Delivery room charges - Mother (4 days)
8. Post Delivery Nursery charges - Baby (4 days)
9. Routine Medications (Mother & Baby) up to a total of Dhs 1,000.
10. Routine Medical Consumables (Mother & Baby) up to a total of Dhs. 3,000.
11. Pediatrician's Fees ( At Delivery, Initial Visit & Discharge Visit)
12. First Pediatrician Clinic Visit at one week for Baby
13. Pap Smear (Liquid Based)
14. Urine Culture
15. Post Partum Screen - Newborn
16. Baby's blood group
17. Audiogram for Baby

If the Mother is twin bearing there will be an additional charge of Dhs. 3,200. This is Inclusive of:

1. Post Delivery Nursery charges - Baby (4 Days)
2. Post Partum Screen - Newborn
3. Baby's blood group
4. Pediatrician's Fees (At Delivery + Initial Visit + Discharge Visit)
5. First Pediatrician Clinic Visit at one week for Baby
6. Audiogram for Baby

Please note:

1. If you deliver before 11:00 p.m., that is included as the first night.
2. In the unfortunate circumstances where the Pediatrician has to perform any resuscitation of the baby at delivery, there will be an extra charge.
3. The Package does not include Circumcision for which the fee is Dhs. 2,025.
4. If you require an emergency C-Section, there will still be charge for Anesthesia, even if you have already paid for an epidural in labor, as these are two separate Anesthetics.
5. Assistants Surgeon's Fees will be extra.
6. The Package does not include Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) charges for the baby, any extra resuscitation required for the baby, or extra tests that may need to be performed.
7. If the husband or a relative stays overnight in the patient’s room, there is a charge of Dhs. 165 per overnight stay, and extra charges for any meals ordered..

Exclusions

• Community Obstetrician’s Surgical Fees and Rounding Fees are not included. Community Obstetricians may charge their Surgical Fees and Rounding Fees directly to the patient and collect them directly. Alternatively, they can charge these Fees through the Hospital which will be in addition to the Package.
• Any test, procedure, visit, medications or consumables other than the ones mentioned above, will be charged for separately.
• Any additional tests, medications or stay due to complications will be charge for separately.

General Comments

1. If a patient stays less than 4 days, a credit of Dhs. 1,300 per day will be given for Room and Nursery.
2. If a patient stays for more than 4 days, the charges will be at normal rates thereafter.
3. The routine Post Partum Screen for the newborn only includes screening for Phenylketonuria, Thyroid Disease and Galactosemia.
4. Community Obstetricians may charge their Surgical Fees and Rounding Fees directly to the patient and collect them directly. Alternatively, they can charge these Fees through the Hospital which will be in addition to the Package.

Payment

The Patient is required to pay the entire Package price in advance to the Hospital at the time of signing up.
