Dr. Nidal Mahgoub
Pediatric Hematology Oncology Consultant
Dr. Mahgoub is American Board Certified in Pediatric (1993) and American Board Certified in Pediatric Hematology Oncology (1996). She completed her Residency training at the University of California San Francisco; she was elected as a chief resident after which she obtained her fellowship training in Pediatric Hematology / Oncology.
Dr. Mahgoub worked as a consultant at the University of California San Francisco Children Center. From 1997 – 1999 Dr. Mahgoub worked as a consulting Physician in Pediatric Hematology Oncology department at King Faisal and Research Center, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Prior to joining us and since the year 2000 she was a senior Physician in the Department of Pediatric Hematology / Oncology at Kaiser Permanente, California, USA.
She is a member of the American Society of Pediatric Hematology / Oncology, Children’s Oncology Group, National Hemophilia Foundation , and the American Society of Hematologists.
Dr. Nidal Mahgoub is fluent in both Arabic and English.
Special interests include leukemia, solid tumors and benign hematological diseases.
Dr. Mahgoub is dedicated to the care of sick children and comfort of their families.
Dr. Maroun El Khoury
Adult Hematology Oncology Consultant
Dr. Maroun El Khoury completed his basic medical training from Saint Joseph University School of Medicine Beirut, Lebanon in 1999. He completed his US Board Certification in Internal Medicine (2003) and both Oncology & Hematology in 2006. Prior to joining us, Dr. El Khoury was working since July, 2006 as an Attending Physician Hematology/Oncology at the Great River Hematology and Oncology Iowa USA. He also served as Medical Director & Chief of Medicine at the same place and co-directed the hospice and palliative care program. He is also a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology and American Academy of Pain Management.
Dr. Faraz Khan
Oncologist / Hematologist
Dr. Faraz Khan completed his basic medical training in 1997 from Allama Iqbal Medical College, Lahore, Pakistan. He is triple US Board Certified in Internal Medicine (2002), Medical Oncology (2005) and Hematology (2005). Prior to joining us, Dr. Khan worked as a Medical Oncologist, since 2005, at PEI Cancer Treatment Center, Charlottetown, PEI, Canada.
Dr. Salim Chaib Rassou
Pediatric and Adult Radiation Oncologist
Dr. Chaib Rassou did his basic medical training in 1988 from Constantine, Algeria. In 1992, he completed his Interuniversity Diploma of Specialty in Radiation Oncology from Dijon, France. In 1995, he did his University Diploma in Breast Pathology from Nancy, France. He then got his National Diploma in Breast Imaging from Paris, France in 1998. Prior to joining us, Dr. Chaib Rassou worked as Senior Consultant Radiation Oncologist since 2007 at Tawam Hospital John Hopkins, Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, UAE. He worked at Tawam Hospital since 2003 as Specialist Radiation Oncologist. He was then promoted to Consultant Radiation Oncologist in 2005 at the same hospital and finally as Senior Consultant Radiation Oncologist in 2007. He worked as a Consultant Radiation Oncologist from 2001 until 2003 at Centre Hospitalier de Troyes, France and from 1993 to 2000 at Radiation Therapy Unit CHR METZ, France.
Oncology Clinic Manager
Registered oncology nurse, with Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Masters of Science in Nursing, Adult Care Track, and Oncology Focus from the American University of Beirut. Has wide experience in oncology setting and trained for residency at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston-Texas. She is a member of the Oncology Nursing Society. DOH Certified.
Oncology Nurses
All of them are highly experienced in the direct care with cancer patients. This includes physical
assessment, deriving nursing diagnosis, intervening and evaluating cancer patients’ outcomes. They care for patients coming for screening, diagnosis of cancer, treatment of cancer and complications from cancer therapy. All nurses are certified for chemotherapy administration. They are highly involved in health promotion, patient and family education, coping, oncologic emergencies, and providing the cancer patients with comfort care, palliative and end-of life care. They are highly involved in the management of the physical, psychosocial, and spiritual effects of cancer and cancer treatment. They are highly skill-full and work according to JCIA standards, Hospital Standards of Care and Practice and Ministry of Health. All oncology nurses are DOH Certified.
Oncology Pharmacist
Diploma in Pharmacy, Bachelor in Pharmacy, Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist, Board of Pharmacy specialties, USA, BLS Certified. Member of ACCP member (American College of Clinical Pharmacy), USA and Indian Pharmaceutical Association, India. Having 17 years in pharmacy field, with the last 8 years in JCI accredited Hospitals dealing with Chemotherapy services.
